摘要 PURPOSE:The titled fibers, prepared by treating the surface thereof with a functional improving agent, having a coefficient of dynamic friction of a specific value or below, retaining the surface function even after the deoiling treatment with cyclohexane, having improved easy adhesive properties, antistatic properties, hydrophilic nature and processability, and useful for reinforcing materials for rubber. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic fibers, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, are coated with an aqueous emulsion containing an oiling agent consisting of a lubricating agent containing an ester of a fatty acid having a molecular weight of 300-800, an emulsifying agent, a functional improving agent, e.g. an epoxy compound, and a curing agent, e.g. an amine compound, while brought into contact with the surface of two rollers dipped therein, drawn and heat-treated to give the aimed modified fibers in which the oiling agent is applied to the surface thereof, and the functional improving agent is adhered. The coefficient of the dynamic friction is <=0.32, and the surface function thereof is still retained even after the deoiling treatment with cyclohexane.
