PURPOSE:To save use of components with an improved durability of an electrode wire and a less diameter of a costly platinum electrode by employing a forsterite ceramic composition as insulating bushing with a thermal expansion coefficient remarkably high as compared to an alumina ceramic. CONSTITUTION:A gas responsive element 1 made of a semiconductor of a metal oxide indicating an electric resistance value according to gas components to be detected is set on one end of an insulating bushing 3. A pair of electrode wires 2a and 2a made of platinum or a platinum alloy is buried in the gas responsive element 1 with one end thereof projected. Drawing lead wires 2b and 2b made of Ni separately connected to these electrode wires are inserted through through holes 3a and 3a on the insulating bushing 3 and securely bonded with a heat resistant adhesive 4. The insulating bushing 3 is made up of a forsterite ceramic (2MgO-SiO2) with a thermal expansion coefficient of 9X10<-6>/ deg.C or more or a magnetic composition mainly composed of forsterite. |
