PURPOSE:To enable to maintain the favorable engine cooling characteristcs by a method wherein the rotational frequency is increased by fixed amount when the engine is in idle running just after the running of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:When the engine is in idle running just after the running in the vehicular speed higher than the reference speed of the vehicle, the output voltage from a vehicular speed detecting circuit 18, which is increased to be higher than the reference voltage value of a reference vehicular speed setting circuit 19, is inputted to a comparator 20. On the one hand, the resultant signal outputted from the comparator 20 is kept inputting to a logic circuit 22 for the set period of time by means of a primary timer 21, on the other hand, amid said set period of time, a running stop signal is outputted from the vehicular speed detecting circuit 18 and inputted to the logic circuit 22. By receiving both said signals, the logic circuit 22 outputs a signal, which is kept inputting to a correcting circuit 24 for the set period of time by means of a secondary timer 23. The correcting circuit 24 outputs a correcting signal in the form of a corrected output current signal from an output current calculating circuit 17 so as to let a current controlling circuit 25 increase the set value of the field current of a motor 11 in order to control the rotational frequency of the water pump 2. |
