Universal joint for furniture has two arms, one pivoted to the door and sliding on the fixed hinge component, the other pivoted on the fixed hinge component and sliding on the door component, the two arms being pivoted together. These two arms and at least the fixed hinge component are of metal. The pivot pin and the sliding shoe at the fixed side of the hinge are integrally formed as one component of plastics. Pref. plastics is acetal resin. Construction avoids the mfr. of separate pin and slide shoe. PS.
