The ladder-fastening device comprises a ball flange bracket (1), having ball flange (2) and carrier arm (3), the ball flange bracket (1) having a cylindrical ball bed (5) in which the ball flange (2) is mounted such that it can rotate freely. A precise movement plane of the carrier arm is defined by two slots (6 and 7). By virtue of the upwardly open ball flange bracket (1), the ball flange (2) with carrier arm (3) can be retracted and extended. <IMAGE>
