摘要 PURPOSE:To detect the quantity of wear and prevent play, by providing tapered surfaces on the rotary shaft sleeve and other member of a bearing for the stirring unit of a chemical equipment or the like so that the tapered surfaces are put in sliding contact with each other and by energizing one of the sleeve and the member in the sliding direction to enable it to move and by finding out the quantity of the movement. CONSTITUTION:Since a bearing member 15 is energized upward by a compressed spring 18, the bearing member moves upward due to the wear of sliding contact surfaces 15a, 12a so that the sliding surface 15a is pushed on the tapered surface 12a of a sleeve 12. Play is thus prevented from occurring between the tapered surfaces 15a, 12a. The thermal expansion and contraction of a rotary shaft 11 is absorbed by the spring 18. When the bearing member 15 has moved upward, a gap is made between the tip 33b of the screw shaft 33 of a wear detector 32 and the recess 15c of the bearing member 15. At that time, a wheel 35 is rotated to bring the tip 33b and the recess 15c into contact with each other and the value indicated by a pointer 39 is read to find out the quantity of the wear. According to this constitution, the wear play prevention and wear quantity detection are enabled.
