A window or a door is equipped with elastic gaskets which are arranged between the fixed frame (5) and the wing frame (11). The gaskets have two gasket parts, of which one (7) bears, in the closed state of the window, against a face (9) lying in the opening direction (K) of the window, whereas the other (8) bears against a face (10) extending transversely relative to the opening direction (K). To allow an easier closing and opening of the window, the gasket part (7) is designed as a round hollow section which is connected to a foot (6) via a web (12). If only the gasket part (8) is provided on the upper frame's bar, a ventilation gap is exposed only in the upper region when the window is only partially opened. <IMAGE>
