Apparatus for the vacuum suction removal of liquids from tanks, with atmospheric pressure prevailing therein, by means of a suction tube and a shut-off member which is controlled in dependence on the filling height of the tank and is intended for the suction tube which runs as far as the base of the tank. At least in the region making contact with the open border of the suction tube, the base of the tank consists of a flexible material.
