Cyclobutanedicarboxylic acid derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> in which one of the X and Y radicals represents <IMAGE> and the other denotes -ZR, Z denotes -O- or -S- and R denotes alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, and R1 to R6 are as defined in Patent Claim 1, are suitable for controlling various fungi and have, in particular, an outstanding activity against Botrytis.
