PURPOSE:To obtain good contact between lithium and an anode can by press- fitting lithium in a cylindrical anode can during heating, and by inserting inside the lithium a charge transfer complex cathode active material having a positive terminal rod and obtained by press-molding. CONSTITUTION:A lithium disc obtained by punching a lithium plate or a lithium tablet obtained by cutting a lithium rod is placed in an anode can 12, and then the anode can 12 is placed on a dieset which is kept at a temperature of above 50 deg.C but below the melting point of lithium. After reaching the specified temperature, lithium is pressed with a pressing rod to form a lithium active material layer 11 along the inner wall of the anode can 12. A charge transfer complex active material 13 having a cathode terminal rod 14, and obtained by press-molding is inserted insdide the lithium anode 11. The open side of the anode can is sealed with a sealing caver 15 wherein the positive terminal rod 14 is inserted via an insulating material 16 and fixed. Charge transfer complex comprising copolymer of 2-vinylpyridine with 4-vinylpyridine and iodine is used as the charge transfer complex cathode material 13. |
