Welding or sealing device for manufacturing the lateral seam on film bags having two opposing clamping jaws which are to be moved towards each other on a circulating path. The purpose of the invention is to relieve the drive of welding or sealing devices. The object consists in counteracting the alternating forces occurring on account of the pressure springs. This object is achieved by the fact that a torque compensator is disposed in the drive of the welding or sealing device. The torque compensator consists of a curved disc disposed in the drive and having a curved path part which decreases uniformly in the direction of rotation and then increases again, on the circumference of which a spring-loaded curved roller travels. The curved roller is mounted on a pivotable lever, one side of which is mounted in the machine frame, and the other side of which carries a tensioning spring which is hooked into the machine frame. <IMAGE> |
