A tray is generally rectangular, with an apertured bottom and a peripheral wall which is wavy and extends obliquely outwards, with a flange extending outwardly from the wall top. The crossing webs forming the bottom terminate adjacent the inwardly directed apexes of the wall. The arrangement allows injection to take place at the locations where the webs join the peripheral frame to permit very fast and uniform flow of melt in the mould with uniform temp. distribution. The webs pref. extend radially as spokes from a hub region in the tray centre, and are interconnected by spaced circular or part-circular reinforcing webs. The tray is intended for shrink foil wrapping of prods. placed in it.
