PURPOSE:To provide a printing device which is capable of printing alpha- numeric prints by a method in which a group of type carrying bodies and a hammering means are connected and pulled with the hammering means stalled at a specified place in order to place a desired type carrying body in the position opposite to the hammering device. CONSTITUTION:A type wheel 9a is positioned opposite to a hammer 16 by tension in a carriage return spring 8, and projecting sliding contact section 15 contacts the cam face 12a of a first cam that is the lowest of end face cams. Next, when the type wheel selection cam shaft is rotated, the end face arm 11 also rotates to contact the projection 15 to a second cam face 12b and a rotating lever 14 is pushed to outside against the spring 8 and rotated by a specified angle. With rotation of this rotating lever 14 the roller 23a also rotates and a carriage 7 is pulled through a rope 24, and a second type wheel 9b is positioned opposite to the hammer 16. |
