The present invention suggests an apparatus and a method for recognizing voice in a vehicle to recognize the voice of a user by removing a beep sound from sound information inputted to a micro phone and by using customized database for the user. The device according to the present invention includes a beep sound removing part which removes the beep sound from the sound information and obtains the voice of the user when the sound information is inputted by the user in the vehicle; a user information obtaining part which obtains information about the user; and a vocabulary list detecting part which detects a vocabulary list from the database based on the information about the user; and a voice recognition part which recognizes the voice of the user based on the vocabulary list. |
