Junction box comprising a lower part 1, a cover 2 and a terminal block 5. The terminal block is attached by its ends 25, 26 to the walls 7 of the lower part of the box, so that it forms a free bridge in connection with the opening of the lower part of the box. The terminal block runs preferably essentially diagonally in a square box.
