PURPOSE:To detect a defective part of an electrophotographic sensitive body by detecting an electric current rotating an electrically conductive roller, which is applied voltage on the surface of said body, in press-contacted state. CONSTITUTION:A driving motor 4 is operated and an electrically conductive roller 2 and a photosensitive drum 3, are rotated. Next, a high voltage transformer 7 is operated and high voltage is applied to the drum 3 through the roller 2 and then, a defective part is detected. In the case where the drum 3 is defective, the defective part is detected immediately by generating an excessive current on an ammeter 8. About 0.7-1KV is suitable for the voltage applied to the roller 2. |
