PURPOSE:To detect the presence or absence of putrefaction with a total number of products non-destructively without contacting by irradiating microwaves to the part of the wall of a vessel where microwaves transmit and detecting the reflection power thereof. CONSTITUTION:The microwaves emitted from a microwave oscillator 16 are conducted via an isolator 18 and a microwave incident power monitor 20 to a microwave irradiation chamber 22, where they irradiate a vessel 10 in the chamber. The microwaves are stirred by a stirrer fan 27, and are irradiated uniformly into the contents through the wall of the synthetic resin of the vessel body 10. The reflection power from the contents is displayed on a monitor 24. On the other hand, the reflected waves are conducted from the chamber 22 through a waveguide 28 to a power detector 30, and this and a reference signal are compared in a comparator 32, by which the presence or absence of putrefaction is judged. The output of the comparator 32 is supplied through a holding circuit 40 to a display circuit 42. Thereby, the presence of absence of putrefaction is inspected non-destructively without contacting even without viewing the inside. |
