PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for mechanical constitution and to permit color discrimination with high accuracy by providing a photodetector array which receives the luminous flux magnified with a concave lens and leads out the component outputs of the corresponding wavelength. CONSTITUTION:The light out from a light source 1 is reflected by an object 2 to be measured and is conducted to a spectral prism 4 through a slit 3. The prism 4 refracts the incident ray according to wavelengths thereby separating the same into spectral components. The separated luminous fluxes are further diffused by a concave lens 5. The outputs corresponding to the respective wavelengths obtained by separating these diffused luminous fluxes into their spectral components with the respective elements of a photodetector array 6 are led out from said array. The outputs of the array 6 are such that the output of each of the elements corresponds to each wavelength. These output wavelengths are compared and operated arithmetically in an arithmetic processing circuit 7, whereby the colors of the object to be measured are discriminated. |
