PURPOSE:To make it possible to print many kinds of printing with prototype types by selecting a plurality of type carriers and moving them to printing positions and anchoring other type carriers at non-printing positions and returning all the type carriers to the position of stand-by for starting typing at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A type selection shaft 3 and a digit carrying rotating shaft 4 are spline-coupled by type carrying bodies 5-8 and cams 13-16 respectively and a spring 17 is extended between a carriage 9 and a side frame 1a to move and energize all carriages 9-12 to the position of stand-by for starting typing. A rotating guide shaft 19 is spline-coupled by a rack rod 20 that has many teeth that mesh with cams 13-16, and energizes the cams in the direction opposite to the carriage energizing with a spring 21. A lock claw 22 engages a plurality of teeth 50 at the back of a rack rod 20. A driving claw 23 is engageable with the rack rod 20 by the operation of a solenoid SL1 in order to move the rod 20 in the direction to the position of stand-by for starting printing. |
