PURPOSE:To provide a heat transfer system printer which is provided with a means for changing-over a heating amount of a heat transfer head in response to an erroneous printing instruction, and can correct a printed letter without deterioration in a printing quality. CONSTITUTION:Through movement of a heat transfer head at a constant speed, a dot-shaped letter is printed on a recording paper 3. When correcting a printed letter, a correcting ink ribbon 13, with which a printing ink ribbon 12 is replaced, is attached between the heating element of the heat transfer head 1 and the recording paper 3. The heating amount of the heat transfer head 1 is changed over in response to an erroneous printing correcting switch 19, and this causes the heat transfer head to be driven at a low voltage at a printing time and to be driven at a high voltage at a time when an erroneous printing is corrected. Thereby, the correcting ink ribbon soaked with a large amount of carrying ink can be used, correcting ink can be transferred thick on an erroneous printed letter, and an improved correction is made on an erroneous printing without so much increase in a consumption power. |
