PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording medium excellent in heat sensitivity an stability for long time storage by a method wherein a diazonium salt and a water-soluble or hardly soluble guanidine deriv. as a basic substance along with a water-soluble or hardly soluble coupler. CONSTITUTION:For example, (A) an aq. solu. contg. a diazonium salt (e.g. p- diazo-N-ethyl) and a conventional coupling inhibitor, (B) an aq. dispersion consisting essentially of a water-soluble or hardly soluble guanidine deriv. expressed by the formula (I) (R1-R6 are H, <=18C alkyl etc.), II (R6 is lower alkylene, or phenylene), or III (X is S2 or SO2 etc.) (e.g. phenyl guanidine etc.), and (C) an aq. dispersion of water-insoluble or hardly soluble coupler (e.g. 2,8-dihydroxynaphthalene, etc.) are mixed. The mixture is coated on a substrate 1 to form a heat-sensitive color developing layer 2. |
