PURPOSE:To reduce electric power consumption by performing displaying as a watch automatically and stopping the supply of electric power to sensor parts upon elapsing of a constant time after a scale is used as a weighing device. CONSTITUTION:When a user connects a switch S2 to the collector of a transistor (TR) 10 in order to perform weighing, a decoder part 2 is connected to a decoder driver part 72, and electric power is supplied to photosensors 23U, 23D and light emitting elements 22A, 22B, whereby these are abled. When the user places a weighing object on the receiving tray of the kitchen scale, its weighing value is displayed on a display device 1. After the weighing operation, the weighing object is removed from the receiving tray, and upon elapsing of a constant time, the TR10 goes on to change over the display of the device 1 to a watch display; at the same time, the supply of electric power to the photosensors 23U, 23D and the elements 22A, 22B is stopped. |
