Glove for interim treatment of burns on hand - is in elasticated fabric exerting pressure on back of hand to minimise resulting deformity

The glove is intended for (interim) treatment of burns on a human hand to minimise deformities resulting from hypertrophic scars and/or oedema. It consists of fabric and comprises portions covering the fingers and thumb and means which exert pressure on the back of the hand. The fabric is pref. elasticated. The glove is pref. formed from two similar fabric blanks each having a wrist portion connected to the finger and thumb portions via intermediate panels, which blanks are connected along the edges of the finger and thumb portions and of the panels whilst the edges of the wrist portions form an opening for inserting the hand.
