<p>The drive mechanism comprises an elliptical gearwheel on an output shaft, driving another such gearwheel on an auxiliary shaft. A further elliptical gearwheel is mounted on the auxiliary shaft and drives a fourth such gear integral with a hollow shaft coaxial with the first one. The equipment can be arranged to be driven in three ways, i.e. by the auxiliary, hollow or internal shafts, and the auxiliary one can have two pin slots, one running axially and the other in a spiral through 90 degs. The shaft is movable sideways through the gears, thus causing them to turn in relation to each other.</p> |
