A number of distributing pipes(2,3,4) are arranged in a circular pattern around a central pipe(1) and are selectively interconnected with the central pipe by a rotary pipe switch. The switch includes a pipe elbow(5) having a rotary joint(6) at one end connecting the elbow to the central pipe to enable rotary motion of the elbow relative to the central pipe. An axial compensator(8) is proved at the other end of the elbow, with a connector attached to the axial compensator, for effecting connection & disconnection of the other end of the elbow with each of the distributing pipes.
