To facilitate changing the oil, the selector comprises a cylindrical housing (1), stationary electrical contacts (2) disposed at the internal wall surface of the housing (1), a rotatable insulated tube (4) disposed co-axially within the housing (1), movable electrical contacts (5) disposed at the external wall surface of the tube (4) to be rotatable therewith and to selectively contact the stationary electrical contacts (2), hollow rod means (9) extending axially through the tube (4), passage means (15, 17) extending between an axial end portion of the rod means (9) and the space within the housing (1) outside the tube (4), and passage means (10) between the axially opposite end portion of the rod means (9) and the exterior of the housing (1) for the passage of oil between the space within and the exterior of the housing (1). The rod (9) is secured in a cover (14) at one end and located in a hollow spigot (7) at its other end. Bearings (8) and (11) allow the tube (4) to be rotated by a Geneva wheel (13). <IMAGE> |
