A retainer means in the form of an elongate strip where one end of the strip can be introduced into and retained in an opening 1 in the other end is provided with at least two elongate apertures 2, 3. A male plug may then be introduced through one of the elongate apertures, while a female plug may be introduced through the other elongate aperture, following which one end of the strip may be introduced into and retained in the opening 1 in the other end, thereby ensuring that the plugs do not separate. Hereby the need for tying a knot on the associated wires is dispensed with, as well as the wire material possibly breaking because of such knot. The retainer means may as well be used for fastening of a length of coiled wire, and may be supplied together with such length of wire. <IMAGE>
