PURPOSE:To realize an automatic separation for only a station in which the power supply is cut off without giving any effect to other stations, by inserting in series the contact of a relay which is driven by the power supply of a surge absorber between the absorber and a transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Relay contacts 13 and 14 coupling to a relay 12 which is driven by the voltage +V are inserted in series between a surge absorber 4 and a transmission line 1 for a power supply of the absorber 4. When the power supply is supplied in a normal way to each of stations S1-Sn, the relay 12 is energized to close the contacts 13 and 14. Thus the transmission and reception of data is possible for the stations S1-Sn. If a fault of power supply arised at a certain station and the power supply is cut off, the relay 12 is deenergized to open the contacts 13 and 14. The faulty station is separated from a transmission line 3. As a result, the current of the line 3 does not flow to clamping diodes 5-8, and accordingly the other stations can keep the transmission as they do. |
