PURPOSE:To remove toner remaining on the surface of an electrostatic recording body by cleaning the surface of the electrostatic recording body by bringing a heating roller or a heating belt into contact with the surface after a toner image is transferred to a transfer sheet. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a dielectric layer 1, an electrostatic latent image is formed by giving charge to the surface by a plotter 6, and it is applied with toner 10 at a development part 12 to form a toner image. The toner image is transferred to a transfer sheet 16 by a heating roller 14. A cleaning part 18 brings a heating roller 7 or a heating belt 17 into contact to perform cleaning, and the layer 1 after being cooled by a cooling part 5 is used in a next recording cycle. The cleaning part 18 consists of a the cleaning heating roller 7, a toner scraping-off pawl or blade 8, and toner receiving dish 9, and may include the heating belt 17. |
