PURPOSE:To realize the coding with use of the output signal of an ROM and the output signal of a counter, by providing a prescanning line shift register, a using scanning line shift register, a coding mode ROM and a run length counter. CONSTITUTION:The 2-dimensional coding is carried out for the image information data S31 of the using scanning line by using the image information data S30 of the prescanning line. In this case, a prescanning line shift register 227 that shifts the data S30 by a bit is used along with a present scanning line shift register 227 that shifts the data S31 by a bit, a coding mode ROM221 that uses the output signal of an optional bit of the register 227 for the input, and an RL counter 224 that counts the run length between the changing points of the data S31. In such constitution, the coding is possible with use of the output signals of the ROM221 and the counter 224. |
