PURPOSE:To reduce a pressure loss, increase a muffling effect, and decrease a size of the device by providing a radial noise absorbing plate in an inner cylinder so that swirl flows hit the noise absorbing plate gradually starting at a place where the exhaust wind velocity from an impeller and the swirl components are decreased. CONSTITUTION:The air flowed out of an impeller 3 is regulated faster at the vicinity of an inner cylinder 4b as it nears the outlet side of a muffler 4. The diameter of the inner cylinder 4b is tapered gradually toward the outside c so as to reduce the wind velocity and the pressure loss. On the other hand, a radial noise absorbing plate 8 provided in the inner cylinder 4b is flared gradually from the inner cylinder 4b side to an outer cylinder 4a side and is finally connected to the outer cylinder 4a, therefore, the swirl flows can hit the noise absorbing plate 8 starting at a place where the wind velocity and swirl components are decreased. Thereby, the pressure loss of a muffler for a jet fan with the same performance for forward and reverse operations can be reduced, the muffling effect can be improved, and the size of the device can be decreased. |
