PURPOSE:A safe herbicide for paddy fields containing 0,0-diisopropyl 2-(benzylsulfonamido)ethyl dithiophosphate and 2,4-dichlorophenyl-3'-carbomethoxy-4'-nitrophenyl ether. CONSTITUTION:A herbicide for paddy fields containing 0,0-diisopropyl 2-(benzylsulfonamido)ethyl dithiophosphate of formulaIand 2,4-dichlorophenyl-3'-carbomethoxy-4'-nitrophenyl ether at a weight ratio of 1.02-2.0, preferably 0.8-1.7. The use of the two compounds permits the control of annual and perennial weeds in a small amount without the fear of phytotoxicity to rice plants, prolongs remarkably the period of residual effects on barnyard grass, bulrush, water nutgrass, etc. and is capable of controlling the development of weeds for a long period to the vigorous growth period of rice plants by the application before the germination to the beginning of the germination of the weeds. |
