<p>PURPOSE:To perform the establishment of synchronization and the resolution of uncertain phase, by reversing the bit sequence of one of the unique words of two channels to form a bit pattern and using this bit pattern for the other unique word. CONSTITUTION:A correlator 3a obtains the correlation with the unique word of channel P with respect to the input signal of a receiving channel while the selection signal is set at 1. Then the output of a threshold level detector 5a is delivered to input terminals 9a and 10a of a decoding matrix 8 via latch circuits 15a and 15b. While the selection signal is kept at 0, the correlator 3a performs an operation equivalent to the fact that the correlation is secured with the unique word of channel Q to the input signal of the receiving channel in combination with the operation of a selecting circuit 13a. Then the output of the detector 5a is delivered to the matrix 8. As a result, the output signals of output terminals 11 and 12 of the matrix 8 can perform the establishment of synchronization and the resolution of uncertain phase.</p> |
