PURPOSE:To make possible highly accurate assembling by tightly attaching a grid electrode to a reference plane by a method wherein each grid electrode is gripped with a gripping tool and the end surface is tightly attached to an aligning reference plane by adding to it a tensile load and subsequently softening glass is pressed against both sides of the electrode, the glass being melted and solidified then. CONSTITUTION:A jig 13 for gripping grid electrodes 11a-11f from both sides has an aligning reference plane 13a used to contact both the side while leaving each stud 14 of each electrode untouched. Further, on both sides of the electrode 11a-11f is provided a gripping tool 15 for gripping the stud 14 in a vertical direction and supporting it, which is connected with an air cylinder, so that a tensile load is applied to each of the electrodes 11a-11f. In addition, a pressing mechanism 16 is provided on both sides of the electrodes 11a-11f and the mechanism works to press softening glass 17 against the aligned studs of the electrodes 11a-11f to melt and solidify the glass. For this reason, the glass is allowed to tightly attached to the reference plane, thus improving accuracy in assembling. |
