<p>A needle for withdrawing blood (I) to be blended with a liq. anti-coagulant, to allow reuse, is fitted with a sec. tube carrying anticoagulant soln. (II) to a point near the tip of the needle. The proportions of the needle and sec. tube are such that the flow of blood (I) entrains a flow of (II) so that the vol. ratio of (I)/(II)=7/1. Specifically claimes use of a subsidiary of 3mm dia. bore. The blended flow passes through plastic tubing to a suitable receptacle.</p> |
