PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the manufacturing cost, by differentiating the ascending direction of the number of a plurality of drive terminals on a longitudinal side thereby classifying them into first and second drive terminal groups, and differentiating the lead-out direction of drive electrodes to be connected with the first and second drive terminal groups. CONSTITUTION:In a drive IC 15, a plurality of drive terminals T1-T64 are arranged respectively on longitudinal sides facing each other and classified into first and second drive terminal groups 20, 22 and 21, 23 based on the difference of ascending direction of the number of drive terminals. A drive electrode 14a connected to the drive terminal group 21 is led out in the direction of an arrow 17 from the drive terminals T1-T16 while a drive electrode 14b connected to the drive terminal group 20 is led out in the direction of an arrow 18 from the drive terminal T17-T32. Drive electrodes 14c, 14d connected respectively with the drive terminal group 23, 22 are led out respectively in the direction of arrows 17, 18. With such arrangement, the immediate underface and the circumference of the drive IC 15 in a substrate are utilized effectively, thereby the size and the manufacturing cost of a drive can be reduced. |
