<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled apparatus for keeping washing liquid in high dissolved-oxygen concentration, enhancing absorption efficiency, and preventing a formation of colloidal sulfur in the liquid, by constituting the apparatus to increase the flow rate of washing liquid containing powdered activated carbon in the suspension state, when concentration of gas to be treated is high. CONSTITUTION:A remaining part of washing liquid is returned to a washing liquid storing part 8 from an electromagnetic valve 23 provided to a pipe 24 which is branched from this side of a flow meter 11 attached to a pipe 12 at the exit side of a washing liquid circulating pump 9, and a part of the washing liquid is sprayed from a sprayer 5 through the pipe 12. On the other hand, a gas, containing mainly H2S e.g. waste gas in soil treatment i.e. a gas to be treated, is introduced into the bottom of a washing tower 3 by a blower 1 to bring the gas into contact with said liquid in gas-liquid contact in order to remove H2S in a region of packed material 4. In this case, the valve 23 is closed electrically by a switch 25 so as to increase the flow rate of washing from the spray 5 thereby levelling the treatment of the gas to be treated, when the concentration of the gas to be treated is high.</p> |
