Flowline plant, esp. for moulding and casting in iron foundry - where triangular turntable is used for automatic loading of cores into moulds, esp. when mfg. IC engine cylinder blocks

The plant includes a turntable, which has the shape of an equilateral triangle, and which is rotated stepwise on a vertical axis. The turntable is rotated by a motor and gears; and on its periphery are at least two identical tools, which are pref. used for holding and depositing several foundry cores in a row of moulds travelling stepwise along a roller conveyor track. Each tool can pref. be rotated through 180 deg. so it can be turned upside down in a carrier which can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically on the edges of the triangular turntable. A similar second turntable is used to fill ladles with molten iron and to fill the moulds. Plant is used on any flowline, but esp. for the automatic mfr. of cylinder blocks for motor car engines.
