Appts. for shaping and packaging foodstuffs prior to cooking combines a mobile chassis for accepting interchangeable moulds prefilled with the foodstuffs and a second chassis for deploying panels of film or foil with a thermoplastic coating across a platen face, where either the mould chassis or the film support system can shift vertically to seal the film across the mouth of the mould using heat and pressure as appropriate. Stable for packing ham, joints of meat, pate, meals or animal feed. The mould chassis system is adaptable to various pack sizes and forms.
