<p>The fastener consists of a bolt with a flat head (8), two flexible bearing wings (30,32) and a shaft (10) of circular cross section with a slotted hole (12). These are two equal and opposite internal projections within the slotted hole, parallel to the axis of the fastener. The fastener is introduced into the circular hole (4) in the lining (1) and a cotter plate (20) is inserted in the slotted hole and locked in position by the internal projections. The fastener is thus locked into the lining. With the lining in position, the bolt (10) and cotter plate are passed through the slotted hole (36) in the panel. The fastener is pressed and rotated through 90 degrees to fix the lining to the panel.</p> |
