The hand grenade has a fragmentation body (6) and a fuze head (1) from which a small fuzing tube (4) with the detonator projects into the internal space which is filled with explosive. The internal space is divided by an inwardly projecting rib (9) into an upper (8) and a lower (7) space element, the lower space element (7) being at least half the height of the internal space. The lower space element (7), into which the small fuzing tube (4) extends, has side walls which are curved in the same sense and end at their upper edge in the rib (9). <IMAGE>
