<p>The installation for constructing an underwater foundation platform comprises a floating pontoon (1), the underside of which carries a frame (8). Sensors controlled from the pontoon explore the sea-bed inside the frame and transmit their findings to pick-ups on the pontoon which deduce the volme of material required to fill the interior of the frame. Material is then discharged into the frame from barges and a leveller (11) is moved along a guide on the frame to spead the material evenly over the interior of the frame.</p> |
