The spectacle frames have circular lens holders and a central bridging element. The lens holders each have a groove formed around their inner surfaces and these grooves are defined by a pair of coaxial, circular lips. One of the lips is cut-away in two diametrically approved parts which lie between the nasal and temporal parts of the frame. The cut-away portion accounts for approx. one half of the periphery and permits the lenses to be inserted and replaced easily.
