<p>PURPOSE:To produce a decorative plywood having much natural feel without disconnection of wood grain patterns by coating an undercoating layer which seals the surface of a base material consisting of wood thickly then polishing the surface and printing wood grain patterns. CONSTITUTION:Transparent undercoating paint 11 is coated at about 200-500mu thicknesses on the surface of a base material 10 consisting of a soft or moderately soft material and is an edge grain material of a yellow or white ground color having virtually no grains of needle-or broad-leaved trees. Thence, the undercoating layer is polished away down to about half the layer thickness X-X, whereby the surface is smoothed. Next, a printing layer of edge grain patterns is offset printed on the smooth surface of the undercoating paint 11 and further second painting 13 is applied after color clearing, and the surface thereof is polished. Following to this, the surface is glazed with semitransparent paint, after which top coating paint 14 is applied thereon, whereby the decorative polywood is produced.</p> |
