The front straightening feed is for an offset printing press, having flanges (56) with retaining lugs (58) aligning and correcting the position of the leading edge of the sheet before this passes between the machine cylinders (36,42). The flanges are in line and integral with a supporting bridge. An adjustable holding-down plate (64) is mounted on each flange forming, between itself and the corresponding lug, a space matching the thickness of the sheet to be printed. There can be a groove in the bridge for each of the holding-down plates to slide.
