<p>Laminated glass consists of a sheet of glass and sheet of another material bonded to the glass, consisting of two plates joined together by distance pieces, pref of rigid transparent plastics material, fastened to the glass by one of its major surfaces, opt using an adhesive, the edge region being sealed. The plastics is pref polycarbonate and the sealant is a silicone based mastic. The laminate has improved thermal insulating property and is much less liable to breakage than prior laminated glass using shatter resistant plastics.</p> |
