<p>PURPOSE:To feed papers to a photoreceptor, by providing a mobile paper guide to the photoreceptor and means for moving this guide, and exerting a proper contact pressure corresponding to the rigidity of the paper on the paper. CONSTITUTION:When a paper 4 not high in rigidity stored in a paper feed cassette 2 is fed to a photoreceptor 1, a manual insertion tray 12 is erected perpendicularly, and a paper feed roller 3 and a registration roller 6 are rotated. The paper 4 is led with a guide 5, fed between the roller 6 and a pinch roller 7, and provided to the photoreceptor 1 with a guiding material 9 at a large intrusion angle. When a paper 4' high in rigidity is supplied, the tray 12 is felled down in the horizontal direction, the rollers 3, 6 are rorated, the paper 4' is led with a guide plate 11, fed between the roller 6 and the pinch roller 7, and provided to the photoreceptor 1 through the guiding material 9 at a small intrusion angle.</p> |
