<p>A method of forming the curved surface of a 3-dimensional curved article, comprising the steps of inputting the sectional curve (SC) of a 3-dimensional curved article, a dividing number, a dividing pitch, etc. as dividing information, dividing the sectional curve (SC), sequentially obtaining a plurality of intermediate sectional curves (CVi) (i=1, 2, ...n) including the respective dividing points (Pi) (i=1, 2, ...n), forming the curved surface from the intermediate sectional curves, and moving a tool (TL) along the intermediate sectional curves (CVi) when machining, thereby machining the curved surface. When thus machined, it is not necessary to alter the dividing shaft even if the curvature of the curved surface is varied, but it can be uniformly processed, and the machining accuracy can be improved.</p> |
