摘要 A method and a device for carrying it out are disclosed which make it possible to control the orientation of particles as they pass through a detection zone in a particle analysis system for determining the shapes of the particles. A laminar flow alignment of the particles takes place in a flow which passes through an elongated straight passage and which is aligned coaxially with respect to an elongated detection zone. The elongated detection zone is longer than the longest particle to be detected and analysed. The particles are conveyed through the detection zone in an isokinetic laminar flow envelope composed of pure liquid.
