In the case of a vacuum power circuit breaker, the switching vessels are in each case surrounded by a U-shaped or C-shaped insulating material part which is attached to the rear and/or front insulating material tension lug. The head parts and base parts of the poles are in this case covered by metallic caps which can be plugged onto the poles and are insulated on the outer surfaces.
